Air Conditioner Collection happening today in Poughkeepsie, 9:00-6:30
Air conditioners are not accepted at today's Electronics Recycling Day in Beacon BUT you can bring them to Poughkeepsie from 9-6:30. Central Hudson is hosting a collection at the Galleria parking lot, behind Sears. $50 rebates will be exchanged for units recycled.

Textile Recycling Drive in Beacon, 4/28
The Sargent Elementary School PTO is hosting a textile recycling drive on Saturday, April 28 from 9am- 1pm. This fundraiser is a partnership between the Sargent PTO and Wearable Collections, a Brooklyn-based recycling organization. This is an opportunity to not only donate used clothing but also to recycle worn-out clothing and other household textiles.
The following items will be accepted if clean and in bags: clothing, hats, shoes, curtains, belts, handbags, towels and other household linens. Reusable items will be go to those in need. Other textiles will be reprocessed into rags, furniture stuffing, insulation, carpet padding and other materials.
The funds raised will benefit the students of Sargent Elementary School. For more information, please call Erika Waldron at 917-574-9272.
